Cedar Cathedral is more than a podcast; it's a community of artists, artisans and other creators and supporters who live and work in the Great Lakes. In that spirit, we host gatherings in different Great Lakes cities, bringing together creators from different disciplines in order to foster community and collaboration.

The first gathering is in Grand Rapids at 5:30pm on Friday, May 13 at Long Road Distillers (537 Leonard St. NW)

Join us for a gathering of West Michigan artists, creators, makers, chefs, growers and supporters. The idea behind the first Cedar Cathedral meetup is to bring together creatives from different disciplines and to foster community and collaboration—just like the show. So the first order of business is to enjoy a craft cocktail and hang out. We'll also have a panel discussion focused on West Michigan's food scene, and the unique possibilities afforded by the region's culture and community of chefs, growers and diners.

Panelists will include Patrick Conrade, executive chef of The Sovengard, who was featured on a recent episode of Cedar Catehdral; Jon O'Connor, co-owner of Long Road Distillers; and Joshua Usadel, greenhouse manager at Downtown Market. Cedar Cathedral co-host Steve Hendershot will moderate.
